Confederazione Generale dell´Agricoltura Italiana (CONFAGRICULTURA) - Italy

The Centre of Studies of CONFAGRICOLTURA (ENAPRAS) was founded in 1959 for promote the professional background and professional improvement on the agricultural world. In 1978 through the law "œn.153/75 de D.M. 30 January 1978" it obtained the recognition and the consent by the Ministry of Agriculture to develop tasks of social-economical information and the qualification the professional persons that work in agriculture.

In this way, the responsibility of ENAPRA is to coordinate activities given directions to the background, improvement, development, qualification, and update of the all kind of professional figures on the agricultural sector. ENAPRA makes these tasks through the information, research, and tecnical advice.
The headquarter of ENAPRA is located in Rome and has national spreading through its  regional and provincial head offices. The fact to be pert of Confagricoltura, that is the oldest agricultural organization from Italy, with more than one century of history, and that joins the 70% of the hours of work on the Italian agricultural world, makes that ENAPRA has great spreading and makes that its function more effective and useful for the Italian agriculture.

Confagricoltura is constituted for 19 regional federations, 98 provincial head offices, and for a high number of local offices. In additional it is represented in Brussels with its own office. Confagricoltura represents to the agricultural enterprises in the presence of the main national and international institutional head offices. Information compilation in cooperation with EHA is one of the main roles of ENAPRAS.

Role in the project

Gather and evaluate the information in Southern Europe, especially in Italy which is one of the most important regions of Europe in fruit and vegetables production. Support of RTD in field test data evaluation.
