The Hungarian national fruit and vegetable council (HFVIPO) - Hungary

HFVIPO was established according to Act 6/1993, is a national forum for harmonising the interests of the fruit and vegetable sector, and continue to function as an professional body for the sector following the accession to the European Union. It's a civil organization of Hungarian Fruit & Vegetables Sector with more than 25.000 members through their member association: growers, all important companies from the processing industry (canning and deep-freezing industries) and traders (importers, exporters, wholesalers, retailers and Producer Organizations).

The main activity of HFVIPO is to assists the establishing of fruit and vegetable producer associations, and provides operational assistance to these organisations, especially in relation to a better coordination of marketing (by means of market research and studies), and provides its opinion to the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development in respect of their recognition.

Role in the project

In cooperation with EHA information compilation for Eastern Europe. Vital role in cooperation with RTD’s in the optimisation of guideline and the evaluation of the results. Transfer the results of the GREENERGY project to its members and other greenhouse growers by organising the workshops, training courses, seminars and etc.
