Estonian Horticultural Association ( EHA ) - ESTONIA

EHA was founded on 9 February 1989. There are about 80 members. Unites companies that produce horticultural products for market, also training and science institutions and companies retailing gardening accessories. Owns the quality and domestic origin mark “Grown in Estonia� valid for fresh agricultural produce. Compiles and complements the quality standards for horticultural products. Organises assigning certificates of competency to the field of horticulture and landscape design. Participates in the negotiations between the producers and government. Organises forums, specialised events and study tours.

Role in the project

Compilation of required information regarding the greenhouse energy systems and current situation in terms of greenhouse energy consumption in Eastern Europe, especially in the new EU Member States. Creation of optimisation guidelines and evaluation of the field tests. Organisation of internal conferences, national workshops and training courses for greenhouse growers.
